A quick reality check for anyone booking skin clinics in Seoul (my experience)

xurmj·2026.05.23·조회수 156

Hey everyone. Just wanted to drop some quick thoughts because I see a lot of people asking about where to go for lasers or botox.

When I first came to korea, I was obsessed with finding the absolute cheapest prices on social media. I ended up at a massive clinic where it literally felt like a fast-food drive-thru.

The doctor saw me for maybe 60 seconds. It was fine for basic botox, but for anything that actually shapes your face like ultherapy or fillers, spending a little extra for a private consultation is 100% worth it.

Also please don't rely solely on translation apps if you are doing anything complex.

I almost messed up my face trying to explain "volume loss" and "asymmetry" through google translator.

If the clinic doesn't have a dedicated english coordinator, using a service like lalamedi to get someone who actually understands medical terms is a lifesaver.

You really don't want miscommunication when it comes to your face.

Oh, and always bring your physical passport! A lot of places do instant tax refunds, which saves you around 7-8%.

Anyway just wanted to share since I learned this the hard way.
